Trace heating can be either electrical or by means of steam, which transfers the heat in a pipe carried along. The thickness of the insulation and the heat output are designed according to customer specifications. A polyurethane jacket as the top layer prevents UV aging. Since insulation on site, especially of small nominal diameters, is a considerable labour-intensive task, this solution is a cost-effective alternative.
